003- [Action] Fireflies in summer

[Summer brings with it many things. Not the least of which is fireflies. So, on Friday night, after it gets dark, Mindy is heading outside. She's taking an empty jar with holes poked in the lid. (I'm assuming one of her family members would help her with that.) She put a few crucial pieces of grass in the bottom of it and sets it on the front step

[Smiles and watches from the porch.]

"Make sure you don't wander out too far, Mindy!"

I won't!

[She waves, cheerfully. And then goes back to bug capturing. Successful this time, she runs back with her prize.]

Can you open the jar for me? They keep flying away when I do it....

[pinkplumblossom]

[Nods, smiling.]

"Okay. You have to be fast. Get ready!"

[Hunches down over the jar, ready to crack the top open and closed again quickly so Mindy can get the next firefly in without the others getting out.]

[friendly_ghosts]

Okay.....

[very quickly shakes the bug into the jar.]

Now close it quick!!

['cause this is serious business right here.]

[Snaps the lid back down on the jar, trapping the little bug inside. She smiles over at Mindy.]

"Look, we got it!"

[friendly_ghosts]

Hurray!

[she jumps up and down excitedly]

I'm gonna catch so many, they'll light up my whole room!

[Laughs. SO CUTE.]

"We're going to need more jars!"

[friendly_ghosts]

Yeah! And then we all have a firefly jar to light up our rooms tonight.

[Well, now she has a mission. She needs three jars of fireflies. One for her, one for Saki, and one for Taiwan and the Netherlands.]

[pinkplumblossom]

[Smiles and opens the door to go inside.]

"I'll go get some more jars ready."

[friendly_ghosts]

Okay. I'll go catch some more fireflies!

[pinkplumblossom]

[Comes back outside a few minutes later with three more jars with holes poked in the top and sets them down next to the first one.]

"I'm back, Mindy!"
