What does your body say about you?
I like this blog post about fictional bodies. If I had access to tell the author that I'm linking to the post here, I'd do that. Please do that if you want to.
The sections about JK Rowling's work caught my eye. I like what Rowling has done with some of her vast fortune (funding multiple sclerosis research) but I'm no fan of her Harry Potter books. Partly that's because of the boy character in the house where Harry grows up. A spoilt little boy whose obesity is ridiculed - not by other characters, by Rowling as she writes about him. Now that we see a review of some later Rowling fiction, in the blog post I've linked to, it's evident that Rowling thinks it's fine to mock people for being fat.
