Rest in peace, Sir Terry

Sir Terry Pratchett, author of fantasy novels, died yesterday. If you were a fan of his, I'm sad for you. Many people loved his tales of Discworld and other places that he imagined. Me, I'm sad about his death because he campaigned for the Right to Die after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

Here's a tribute to Sir Terry and his high-profile campaign for the right to choose assisted suicide. Here's another tribute, this one from Lesley Close at Dignity in Dying. Ms Close, like me, was deeply moved by Sir Terry's documentary about assisted suicide.

Here's a psychological analysis of Discworld.

The final words belong to Sir Terry himself. Here's his blog post about dementia.
