I was bored last night so I prowled youtube in search of something interesting to watch and that's when I found the TED TALKS section.
There was one TED TALKS speech that was called "The most important lesson from 83,000 brain scans". The gentleman giving the speech firmly believes that brain scans should be taken and studied before any sort of medicine or therapy is prescribed for a patient suffering from a brain-related disorder. The reason being that the scan helps the doctor figure out what a given brain's problems actually are as well as what they are not BEFORE treatment begins.
Please watch it and comment. I think this is going to lead to much better care for anyone with a problem brain whether it's because of an injury, a disease, or something genetic in origin.
