Drunk thug attacks and robs a man on his mobility scooter

This really happened. The robber has been convicted. I wonder whether the man he robbed is still brave enough to go out for groceries.

I wouldn't call this a hate crime. More a crime of opportunity. We don't know what the robber hoped to gain but perhaps he wanted money for drugs or something. He picked on a sitting man. Whenever I leave my home, visibly disabled, I fear attack.
