You made me count the ways.

I have finally found some shoes. Yesterday Emma, Hitomi and I shopped in the city mall for about three hours. By the end of it we were all exhausted and whiny. Well, Emma and I were. Hitomi was still bubbly and happy and I don't know how it was possible. Anyway, I found shoes to wear with my dress so that's good. If you count all the incidental walking I did yesterday, I have now done a fair bit of walkercise every day for the last four days now. I figure if I keep it up every day, I should get myself back on track. I've also set myself the (impossible?) mission of wearing heels every day until the wedding, to prime myself for a whole evening of being social and dancing and all of that stuff.

So:

1. Wear heels
2. When not wearing heels, wear joggers (ie therefore will be walking)
3. STICK TO PROGRAM NO MORE G&B'S

I'm really frigging exhausted. I stayed up until around midnight watching Dexter eps (I am all caught up now btw, thanks to Wallace, and I think it may drive me crazy waiting seven days for only forty-five minutes of Dexter for the next however long) and while midnight is usually acceptable and even scrape-throughable when I am on 7am shift, it's not when daylight savings comes into play for the rest of Australia while Queensland says FUCK YOU!!! except that I work at a national customer service centre and therefore our 7am shift becomes a 6am shift because we're so fucking accommodating.

Speaking of accommodating, I finally learnt a foolproof way to spell it correctly without staring at it for a minute or two and thinking "BUT IS THAT RIGHT? IS IT???" and that's this, to the tune of "This Old Man" (the old nursery rhyme):

A-double C
O-double M
A-D
A-T
I-O-N!

It pleases me greatly. What also pleases me is the current weather in Brisbane. Gloomy skies, pattering rain, occasional thunder and lightning. The T&L has subsided substantially since I was driving into work and for the first half hour or so of my shift. There was a huge bolt of fork lightning in the distance right ahead of me as I drove in; there was constant rumbling so loud that it reverberated through the roof of the office building. I miss that already. Bring it back.

Hooray for wonderful people like Josh Pyke, Gotye and Sarah Blasko winning ARIA awards last night (Australia's version of the Grammy?). It's also nice that silverchair beat Powderfinger in every category they went head to head in (am I correct? I can't be bothered to confirm this but I'm pretty sure). While I still like Powderfinger, they are somewhat old and boring these days for the most part. Silverchair are still exciting and still doing exciting things. The end.

PS. I am at home now. Going home sick is fun! Except when you actually do feel a bit sick. TIME FOR A NAP!
