I can't believe I did it

I confronted a person in a parking lot.

We were leaving Downtown Disney, and a car was waiting patiently for our PRIME spot. We were just outside of Trex, and about the second car in.
The car was there when we walked out, and was near us. He seemed relieved to see us walk to our car. One Stroller, and one Ergo baby carrier later, he was still waiting. We are talking about 2 toddlers - loading them up, and all the crap that goes with them. This was easily 5 minutes, and more likely more the man was waiting for our spot.

Now, he was parked in a awkward position for us to pull out, so Mic had to pull out the other way. Before the guy could move his car, a man pulled up in an SUV, and snaked the spot. Waiting Patiently Man was honking his horn as the Mean Snake man was pulling in. He even stopped, before continuing to pull completely in - so I know he heard him, and knew what he did.

I told Mic that I wanted to say something to him. So he stopped the car.

I went up politely - tapped on his window,

me - "Sir, Hi, I am the one who was in the mini van that just vacated this spot. The guy sitting over there was waiting for 5 minutes while we loaded up our car = this is his spot"

MSM -" Well, he didn't have his blinker on, so it's my spot"

me - "you're really not going to move"

MSM "NO"

me walking away (after all, it is just a parking space) - "You are a JERK"

Now, I don't ever call people names. I may think it, I may say it to friends and family - but I don't ever say it to the person. Not in my nature. But I wanted him and his companions to know that his actions were unacceptable.

Waiting Patiently Man waved and thanked me from his car, as he was trying to find yet another spot.
