chalk it up to a soft heart, my DOW has allowed my sleeper one last chance with my instructions being to watch her like a hawk. It shall be done. Last night we got one of our guys back at 1:00 am with pneumonia and an order for oxygen. It's pure happenstance that I opened up the paperwork from the ER and saw the order, but then I had the fine dilemna of trying to locate oxygen at 1:00 in the morning. After a quick confer with the PM nurse over the phone, I was able to make the right phone calls to get that O2. If I hadn't I believe we would have been in non-compliance, the hospital's fault not ours. They didn't even mention it.
