One of those Whatevers

Could scream today. Or is that bad Engrish? Better left at, "I could've screamed today and could still be screaming if I would've started out doing so." If I had any money to my name, I would've quit today. Gone. Wasn't even so much a bad day as just one more straw on the pile ( Read more... )

Envelope w/ the disc arrived this afternoon. Boss even brought it in to me. Opened it on the spot (end of the work day). Was a bit disappointed that I didn't get what I paid for. Was skeptical that it was a legit version considering the price, but giving that it was a few years out of date, I figured you might be on the level. After having contacted you beforehand in regards to the legitimacy of the disc, I didn't expect a pirated version to show up in the mail.

Let me remind you of our conversation from June 8th (Japan time):

FT: PS 7.0 legit for $10? If you can guarantee that it's a legit version and not a warez version burned on CD (and you don't mind shipping to Japan), then I'll take you up on it.

Lauren Subject: Re: PS
I'm using it right now. It's definitely legit. I test every cd before I send it out. It comes with step-by-step instructions. It has the serial#, and i included over 200 brushes that i made so you have a whole lot of options with the program.

I'll do $10 to japan. Shipping is free for this.

paypal?

"It's definitely legit." Ok, so either
A) You're very naive or
B) You think I'm very naive or
C) You know what you're doing, but figure I won't say anything.

Any way it works out, I'm not happy with receiving a CD-R w/ a pirated version of Photoshop on it. If I wanted that, I could've downloaded it in much less time than it probably took you to burn it and get it packaged and ready. If that was the road I wanted to take, I wouldn't have contacted you in regards to the legitimacy of the software in question.

So, at this point, I'll put the ball in your court. As it is, I'm not going to send it back and leave myself open to responsibility for sales of software piracy. As mentioned in the previous commenter's comment, we have grinders at my place of work. I'll probably toss it in there next week when I have access to them. Until then, I've got the unopened CD-R and the envelope as I received it sitting here with me.
