Who still has iron tablets?
So I went for the NS medical checkup thing today, which embodies the defining characteristic of NS - a waste of time.
I would have saved a precious hour if my mum wasn't a hep B carrier and if I didn't fracture my arm (ulna) in sec 2. Spent half an hour recuperating from excessive blood loss; the MO had to collect 3 tubes of blood from he-who-is-barely-qualified-enough-to-donate-blood and worse of all, had to poke my left arm after poking my right since my right arm only decided to yield one tube worth of blood. At least they were nice enough to provide food. "Make sure you eat all the biscuits... it's government money anyway... if not we can't finish and then if we don't buy then the government will cut our defence budget." Hehe so in the future you know where your money will go. To funding biscuits and milo for people like me =p Another half hour was spent waiting for them to summon a radiologist to take an x-ray of my left elbow "just to make sure".
The aptitude test was rather trivial... And what sort of aptitude test that wants to test your typing skills asks you to punch numbers in triplicate in rapid succession once the number is blinking on the screen? Oh and before I entered the room they gave me a sheet of paper that looked like paper for the printer so I thought I was supposed to stick it into some printer at the end for the results to be printed. Then halfway doing the test I realised it was meant to be rough paper when I saw other people scribbling on it -_-. Anyhow my paper was still blank (and probably the only one blank) when I was done; though rough working would have been helpful for some questions, I decided to do mental sums anyway.
Almost forgot to add... the lamest part about the aptitude test was that they had a section asking you whether you like to take risks, scuba dive, water ski, fly a plane etc., so I answered 'no' for all (well, the statement that means 'no'). Why isn't there a 'Do you like to do admin work (for NS)'? Gimme my PES E already =b (Mine is still D)
On a sidenote, my sis has got a new computer since her laptop screen got pwnt. Once again I lose the title of having the best comp in the house =(
