He pressed a kiss to the woman’s lips, so soft and yet so enticing that it made Elizabeth’s breath catch in her throat, and then stepped back with a sketched bow.

It's fun to see you explore different writing styles. Really enjoyed the twist this one took; so many layers to these characters! Saving to mems--Good job!

Heheh -- for a while I thought the red dress was the same Barbossa made Elizabeth wear in CotBP :D

Very nice story, and so lovely to see Jack being Jack (now, of course that woman could've been his sister, or something, but somehow I rather like to think no ;)). Nice twist too, Elizabeth's envy (jealousy?) and her wish to be feminine yet again. Surely there must've been moments when she'd thought it'd be nice to wear a soft, silky dress again and smell of something else but salt and tar :p

Kudos to you (and salr323) for writing pieces like this in an hour and a half -- would take a month for me, lol!

LOL that's what sal said too. I hadn't thought about that when I was writing it, but I see how it could appear that way.

Um, no I don't think she was his sister lol. What I wanted to show was that his gift of the dress was a caring gesture, though he'd like to keep up the facade of lothario.

I think also despite Elizabeth's strength and power she's still female and would perhaps long to feel pretty every once in a while.

Sal and I had such fun writing them, so I'll try and twist her arm to do it again :D

Oh yeah, I got that -- I was vague with my own words, lol. I have hard time to see Jack ever going totally monogamous, but neither can I imagine him treating any of his 'lady friends' badly, even if they were 'just' whores.

Gah, so much lurks beneath the surface in this one! Quick, beautiful, every sentence a story in itself. And the ending, that one statement that makes it clear how together they are despite everything. Lovely.

Thank you so much, love! And I'm glad the strength of their relationship at this point came across. I do think it'd be unique in that Elizabeth would never resent Jack being who he is and vice versa.

Thanks for reading :)

That was indeed very nice. I can see how Elisabeth sometimes might miss the feeling of actually be... feminine... :-) Nicely done.

Thank you so much. I do think Elizabeth would miss the feminine trappings she once had, despite her kingship and all.
