Okay the big announcement is the arrival of Ava Elektra* Morrison-Bell!
She was born on Thursday, 9th March 2006 at 2:54pm after a hell of a long time in labour. Well, it seemed pretty damn long to me, must have been way worse for Laura. Mother and baby are both fine and Ava was 6lbs 14oz at birth, which is almost as much as 14 cheeseburgers.
So far she's pretty well-behaved, although the breast feeding seems to be hard going. Ava likes pooing, eating, waking her parents up, and Whiskeytown, Lemonheads, Johnny Cash and Otis Redding.
So far I'm handling nappy-changing a lot better than I would have thought and sleep loss about as bad as I thought. I've got past the being scared to pick her up thing too, which is cool.
