Multi Fandom Drabbles
So I forgot that I posted some drabbles for fandom_stocking. Here they are!
How I Met Your Mother: Barney/Robin for ladysarahii
Barney is, not surprisingly, very crafty. He invites Robin over one December afternoon when she looks particularly glum. When she arrives he's got his whole counter filled with card stock and stickers, glue and glitter. He has a shoebox filled with pictures of him and the gang out at the bar.
Robin laughs. "I'm sorry, I didn't know we were scrap booking, or else I would have remember my puffy paint."
"Laugh it up, Scherbatsky. We're making Christmas cards. And they're going to be de-wait for it-lightful!"
Robin rolls her eyes, but she does make ten awesome Christmas cards. She mails out nine of them. Somehow the tenth never makes it out.
Dexter for moekat
Dexter is a proficient at inflicting harm with sharp blades, blunt objects, and wrapping things in plastic and duct tape. But he struggles with tissue paper, scissors, scotch tape, and bows. The kids don't seem to mind however when they rip open their presents on Christmas morning. Rita rolls her eyes and Deb calls him useless. Dexter just smiles and finally learns to laugh at himself.
Gilmore Girls: Rory/Jess for carpenyx
Rory can't avoid Jess anymore, not that she really wants to, more than anything it is just force of habit. They are like magnets, drawn to each other when they are in close proximity, but just fine living separately and totally independent.
Ugly Betty for cloverdew
Betty has no idea what to buy Daniel for Christmas. What do you get a guy who has everything? She thinks about getting him a tie, but somehow that feels impersonal.
Finally, the last day before the magazine closes for the holiday, she gets an idea. She leaves the Christmas luncheon early and rushes out to get his gift.
When Daniel arrives at his luxury apartment he finds the scrawniest Christmas tree he's ever seen right next to the Plasma TV. It's decked out with chili pepper lights, beads, and little paper ornaments.
He knows the handy work of Betty Suarez when he sees it. He smiles like a kid on Christmas.
Harry Potter: Scorpius/Rose for oops I forgot to post it so it's just a bonus...
During their first year, Scorpius is the dorkiest kid in school. He's kind of hard to beat in class since he's always studying and doesn't have any friends. Rose doesn't mind being second. It bothers her dad more than anyone. Her mother insists that she'll be proud as long as Rose tries her best. Rose doesn't make fun of Scorpius, but she doesn't stick up for him either. She thinks that makes her a pretty rotten Gryffindor.
In their second year of school, Rose invites herself to sit next to him in the library. By their third, Scorpius gets used to it. During their fourth year, Rose is a whole head taller than Scorpius. In their fifth year, he finally notices. During their sixth year, Scorpius hits his growth spurt and figures out how to comb his hair. As their seventh year comes to a close, Rose edges out Scorpius as the top student in their class.
He confronts Rose about it and she catches him totally off guard with a kiss. "Scorp, this was all part of my master plan."
He gapes at her. She smirks back. He's totally incredulous when he finally speaks, "Honestly, I don't see how you weren't sorted into Slytherin!"
