Summary: Juliette and Spencer and their kids before dinner
A/N: I don't think orginial is allowed here, but it's what my head came up with. I hope I can be forgiven.
"Don't you think she's too young?" Juliette asks her husband as she stood in front of the sink the water running over her hands covered in soap.
"Nah she's seven and right here on the box it says ages seven and up." He holds up the box his finger pointing to the line just spoken of.
"Yes I know my dear I am glad you can read. I don't know know it just seems dangerous. What if she gets hurt?" She turns off the faucut with one hand while reaching for a towel with the other. As he sits the box on the table next to the forever growing pile of bills.
"Juliette I don't see how she could be hurt from this. And isn't she always trying to help you in the kitchen? This way she can do her own little dinners or rather desserts and not get in the way."
"But she doesn't get in the way Spencer. I like her help."
"Okay whatever, but still she could have a lot of fun." Juliette turns to click on the oven to start warming it up for their planned dinner of chicken nuggets. The side was still to be decided on currently it was a toss up between cream corn or macaroni and cheese. In the dinning room she listens to an envelope being ripped open, followed by the accepted grumbles from Spencer. Has he tried to figure who in the house had talked on the phone for three hours in one conversation alone. Their own conversation had been thrown into the wind and blown away.
"Dinner is ready!" Juliette calls out twenty minutes later from an empty room, Spencer having left for a shower awhile ago. She takes a seat at the end f the table and smiles happily as her youngest daughter comes bouncy in with a smile.
"Hi mommy! I was watching Beauty and the Beast. Can I be Belle for Halloween?"
"That silly movie again!? Perhaps but Halloween isn't for a few months now sweetheart, so you might think of something else by than." She nods and takes a seat holding her fork in anspication as she waited for the rest to join them.
"God nuggets again?! What do we have a chicken slaughter factory in the back yard?"
"Vinny that's enough. If you don't like chicken nuggets why don't you give suggestions when I ask what people might want to eat? You never say anything." Her only son just shrugs as he slumps into his chair, tracing circles around the edge of his plate. The three of the are joined by Spencer a moment later, he kissed his daughter on the forehead, but barely acknowledged his son's presence.
"Where is Leigh? I wanna eat."
"I don't know Paige. Vinny can you get your sister please?"
"Why can't she? She's the one that brought the subject up, if she cared that much, she should find out."
"Because I didn't ask her, I asked you. Now go!" Juliette sighs into her glass of water at the the guys bickering again over the dumbest and useless matters. Just as Vinny is standing her eldest daughter walks in the room with too much lip gloss and an ugly color of eye shadow covering her eyes.
"Hey who's easy bake oven is that?" She asks pointing to the box pushed to the corner. Juliette and Spencer exchange looks, having never completely resolved the situation as if she was ready or not. The both knew a decision had to be made now, and judging by Paige's excited smile and bouncing it was clear what it would be. With a sheepish grin Juliette nods the OK at her husband.
"It's for you Paige. Now you can make us all dessert. Doesn't that sound like fun!?"
"Cool thanks daddy!" Se jumps from her seat, rushes to her father and engulfs him in a giant hug, which he returns.
"Hey wheres my gift? I mean why does she get something and I don't? Or hell why doesn't he?" Leigh asks with a pout.
"Where is my 70 bucks for the phone bill?"
