I hate to be in the minority but the last episode really didn't do much for me. I mean it was fine but I had no real invlovement it in it until the end. And most of the episodes this season I have liked more or less. But this one just.. felt a little flatter to me. A bit more emotionless, like Sayid, whom I'll get to later. I didn't invlove me like theothers did that'ss all.
I like Sun for the most part and Jin too, but I gues i'm not as involved with them as I am with other characters. And their sideways thingy. Theire not even married, he's just her bodyguard. And he's delivering money to his own hitman. Keamy natch, everyones favorite scumbag. He is entertaining as a character I'll give him that. Still not sorry Sayid cleaned his clock, and 2 of his men as well. But I digress.
Anyways what we see is essentially Sun having an affair with her bodyguard Jin, and then Jin getting in trouble with Keamy who proceeds to tie him up and put in that little fridge that Sayid finds him in later. That's the general jist of that. And alot of damn subtitles to read. And for someone who has trouble with her eyes that's kind of annoying hehe.
On the island, Sun resists the MIB's tempation and runs away, hitting her head now she can only speak Korean. Which is sort of a flip from when Jin couldn't speak English and she could. Now Jin can and she can't natch. Interesting little twist in all this now. And she's upst that Richard wants to blow up the plane that could carry her and husband back to the real world, not realizing this plane is the vehicle in with our resident monster wantts to use to get off the island and wreck havoc. Which as sure as we're born, he will. So I'm with Richard on that one. Blow the damn thing up. Anyone who wantst o leave can abandon ship with Sawyer on the sub. Since he wants nothing to do with trying to keep the freak on the island. But once again I digress.
Now is it me? or I am quite sure that just about all those people with our favorite monster are pretty much expendable. Wonder if Claire, somewhere in her crazy mind, is starting to realize this. Something tells me Smokey ain't too interestied in getting them off the island as much ax getting himelf off, And killing those popel in the temple cause they were 'confused' is a real crappy reason to do it by the way. I love how this guy justifies everything, almost makes you believe him. Almost. Just proves there is no one this guy won't use as a means to his end. And it makes Jacob, and even Widmore look much better by comparion.
Now onto my man. I'm pissed about this. He's basically an empty shell that just sits just like a bump on a log, until his master gives him something to do. Not only can't he feel anything, he dosen't think for himself anymore apparently. They bring Sayid back from the ded just to have him like this? He used to have some depth now they've taknn any real humanity he has and made him little more than a trained dog for Freaky McSmoke. I miss the old the Sayid, who gave a damn, and actually questions things. Thank You writers.. Alll I can say is, you better have something much better planned for him towards the end. to redeem yourselves for this particular character assasination.
Thant being said, the scene at the end, where he sees Desmond, made me smile. Somthing to happy about. Des is back yaaaaay! It's about damn time. I've missed Des terribly lately. I missed Team Awesome quite a bit too. Maybe Des can kick Sayid real hard in the head and clear his head up a little. Someone has to.
But like I said, wasn't overall impressed with this episode, liked last weeks much better. There was at least some good coming out of that one. Gav e me a little hope. And the news about Shannon's long-aweited reunion with Sayid, (in whatever form it takes) was enough to make hope too. Maybe i'll see something that makes me happy sooner or later. I can only hope.
And one last thing, one of the best lines of the night was from Miles "unless he's covered in bacon fat, don't think Hugo can find anything"
That was just pricelss.. LMAO
