Don't Ask, Don't Tell is a Federal Law that was created in 1993 that prevented Gay and Lesbians in the military to be open about their sexuality.

Since President Obama took office in 2009, over 400 solders have been discharged from their position regardless of their merit or how important they are to their battalions and units.

These Soldiers are just doing what they feel is the right thing - Fight for America's Freedom and Safety. Instead, they are hindered and subjected to discriminatory gay profiling, something that can be considered a HATE CRIME.

On Tuesday, September 21st, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) is planning to block by filibuster the DADT repeal brought forth by Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) and Senator Carl Levin (D-MI).

Lady Gaga has urged the youth of America to stand up for what's right and ensure equality and freedom for those who defend our prosperous nation and make sure America can and will continue to be a beacon of freedom in the world.

PLEASE URGE YOUR SENATORS TO REPEAL THIS HEINOUS LAW!

On July 4th 1776, Thomas Jefferson helped declare Independence for America. Within the Declaration was this line:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

It is up to US to help urge our Senators to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. It is up to us to ensure that our Gays and Lesbians are granted the same civil rights and liberties that most Americans have.

And it is up to us to allow our Gay and Lesbian soldiers on active duty continue doing what they do best, Fighting for our freedom.
