In Which Jo Contemplates This Day
Technically, I have about 23 more minutes before I turn another year older but I figured now's a good a time as any.
So, after more than two decades of walking this earth, after the crap and rubbish one goes through life, I feel immensely blessed. Blessed by God's great mercy for a life such as mine to have bestowed upon me a great mother, amazing friends along the way, and an eventful life filled with so much joy.
I know there are times I cry and lament about the obstacles I face in life, but I realise these road bumps make me who I am today; being able to take a whole lot of shit and barely flinching at it because, seriously, been there done that and got the whole thing blogged.
Everyday, I am completely amazed by how things fit so perfectly into my life. A job which I don't hate, an understanding boss, opportunities for me to live my passion in the performing arts, a mother that is a wonderful balance at letting me live my life yet keeping me completely in check with reality, wonderful friends who have been there to support me and care for me through thick and thin.
Yes, there are a whole lot of idiots in my life I would love to throw shoes at but they're really nothing compared to the blessings I've received.
So thank you, Lord for how you've molded my life.
And definitely not forgetting *you*. Thank *you* for always being by my side.
