Maybe he means the number of good performers? As opposed to England, the land of a dozen actors who are in everything?

Actors who are in everything are often what is searched more. As an actor, whatever skills picked up, whether dancing, singing, even juggling, makes him/her a better performer. Doing both theatre and TV adds great depth to experience (so long as you know how to harness it).

I don't know, most of the time when I see American actors, they'll choose looks over talent. In UK, you tend to see more of the talent than looks.

But that's just me. =)

I know, it sounds almost narcissistic to some sense. Like, "everything in America is awesome. Even the Brits want our actors!".
