Celebration of Light - Mexico & Finale
Saturday night was the finale of the Celebration of Light. It was a double header with Mexico first, then after a short pause, the finale. It was kinda funny cuz Mexico's performance was done at the usual time and was spectacular, so I thought it was over. I went back inside from the balcony and started uploading all the pictures I took... then I started to hear more fireworks go off! So I rushed back outside while the pictures finished uploading (even with USB2.0 it takes a couple mins for 50+ pics at full res to upload!). So I missed some of the finale, but still got lots of sweets pics. The cover image for this set will be a shot from the grande finale:
This display was so huge I couldn't get it all in at the zoom level my camera was set to! Click on the pic to see the rest of the Finale pics (15 pics) and all of Mexico's (40 pics!).
My roommie had a special Capoeiara (martial arts) event this weekend, so we were billoting a dude from Chicago this weekend. A nice guy. They missed most of the firworks =(
