I was as easy as XYZ

I had a dream where everywhere was underwater. I was a merman with legs, and I was free to go wherever I pleased. I could go inside, outside, left, right, but most importantly, up and down. I could swim to wherever I wanted to be. I would ascend fifty feet and dive back down swiftly. It felt like I was flying, but I knew I was swimming the way I could make by body slither to propel myself. It was quite possibly the best feeling I've ever had--adding another dimension to my locomotion.

I was free.

I wonder what it means...
