Unsent Letter

Apr 18, 2007 21:45

A sheet of paper,
littered with feelings long-gone,
To a person I revered,
A life-time gone wrong.

He gave what he took,
Replacing my silence with a voice,
And shed light to the idea,
That life IS my choice.

Despite all that happened,
After the sadness took hold,
I came to the realization,
That the meek can be bold.

For a year I struggled,
Between hatred and respect,
Until the day I concluded,
I'll no longer be a reject.
