No. To end a friendship just because you don't agree over some issue as trivial as that is plain absurd - at least for me. if you don't agree with your friend aout something yo can always talk or just stay like that, you with your opinion and the other whit theirs, if a friendship is broken for something like that then it was not a real friendship.
Well, that's what i think.
About the religion thing, thats more difficult, but i don't think there's a religion that forbides friendship with people with a diferent religion... i'm christian (catolic) and i have a friend who is muslim and we can hang out and study together...
don't be sad about all that, if someone want to stop their friendship with you for something like that, they don't whorth it. Better know now than when something important happens, right?
I had some friends in high school who were like that, they insulted me when they found i was in the japanese fandom, and it was everyday. i didn't talk that much at that time, but i knew they weren not gonna make me change, so i made a folder with many photos of KAT-TUN, NewS, DBSK... and i was so proud of it! then i found who were my real friends, and i'm so glad that happened..

as for me, i have long ago let her go... i guess she's just immature that way... and i was prideful to let her stay friends with me... hahaha... but i have my real friends now, too... and we're both lucky for that... (^0^)
