does anyone even care about saw V spoilers?
so tonight we rewatched the easter doctor who special (planet of the dead) with mario, and watching it a second time, yes, really brought out all the flaws. god the writing was horrific. that's all i'm going to say about it though, because i know that some people actually care about doctor who spoilers still.
then we watched saw V, and i have to say it's probably the worst one with the best scene.
near the beginning, agent straaaaaahhhhhmmmmm from saw IV wakes up to find his head in a glass box that starts filling with water. it's a non-jigsaw trap just meant to kill him, and his captor has emptied his pockets of anything he could possibly use to break the glass. so just when you think he's going to sit there and die in a dumb panic like all the other lame victims of this franchise, what does he do?
he fucking trachs himself with his own pen. i couldn't even believe it. i don't even know if it's medically possible to survive drowning like that but i just don't care. it was such a beautiful moment. if you want to see it for yourself in all its glory it's in this vid around 3:10.
is it wrong that i'm turned on by such things?

of course after that nifty save the writers kill him off at the end anyway. i'd complain that they always kill off the characters i love (*sob* eric matthews, friend to all rats RIP *sob*) but that's pretty much a fact of life when you kill off just about everyone in the damn series. but even to the end, strahm is a man of action, and he's not just going to stand there and die, he's going to try his damnedest to PARKOUR to freedom.
