Brian Jacques has passed away.
Out of all the authors I read when I was a kid, his books always filled me with the greatest sense of wonder. Here was a vast, huge world, similar yet different from our own, where actions have consequences and brave creatures do their best to overcome tyranny.
I looked forward to every spring, as it meant a new book by him would be out soon. I've read his books countless times, never tiring of them.
Thank you, Brian Jacques, for instilling in me a greater desire to read, to fantasize, to imagine. We need more authors like you.
