If your life was a house what floor plan would you need? How many rooms, would you need lots of closet space to store baggage and skeletons? I was kind of just thinking about this, we tend to compartmentalize our lives to the extent that sometimes it is almost like we are different people sometimes.
Me I would need a big kitchen, to keep my family well fed, and happy. A huge living room to have gatherings in. I would need several bed rooms I think, about 4-6 and some would be restrictive access only, to people very close to me in my world, a very few friends, my hubby, and well a few professionals. Those store things I do not like to deal with in their closets, which unfortunately are of good size. Then I would have the other bedrooms, for my other compartmented lives, religion, xtended family, the "real" me (who gets the master bedroom with a huge bath tub), the going out me (the real me with defenses), and their are probably other categories I can't think of right now. The good thing is several of them can co-exsist, so they could share rooms. I imagine that I would have to have about 3 bathrooms, one for the master and 2 for public consumption (not that I want them eaten, but you know what I mean.) Storage space wow, I would need lots of closet space, though not as much as I would have needed in the past, I have been working on some of the issues.
The backyard would need to be big with a bar-b-que pit, smoker, and a patio. I would want a play scape that was big enough that even an adult could play in, and a tree house in a fabulously large oak. Lots of trees and a beautiful garden or 2. One for food and one or 2 for plants.
Oh yes I would need a study/office, playroom, sewing room, and a guest room or 2. With all of this house, I would either need very industrious people living here, or a serious house keeper. LOL
Well life has settled down a bit, Al had a great time at the rendezvous this past weekend. She came home with a bit of a sunburn and a new found respect for indoor plumbing. No showers and hooters (imagine outhouses minus the solid building, basically sheets hanging around you) are an experience to be remembered. She really looks forward to going back, we may go with her, it sounds fun. The best friend is it like living history, and talk about serious, some of these people make some SCA auth. nazi's look like fluffy bunnies, not that they gave Al any problems, in fact we got nothing but compliments, and she even earned a buck and some goodies for being a really good helper. She collected firewood for 2 camps on Saturday. She won the fire starting contest, they were using glass to start the fires, she said she blew and blew, and then the wind helped her out, so she stood up and thanked it after she won. I thought that was sooo cool. Since we are interested in going in October I think we are going to start acquiring things we will need, like clothes, and maybe some gear, like plates and cups, maybe a lantern or 2. We maybe borrowing a tent, though we maybe acquiring one for Al to use when she goes with out us. Canvas tents are expensive, but if we saved we might be able to pick on up for cheaper than a new one. We are not sure how much we want to do this, but we would like to at least go try it out.
I have been very up and down recently, yesterday I was little miss hurt feelings girl, everything hurt my feelings, of course I did not take my meds until late because we were in a hurry to get out the door to go get the kiddos, I did not want to be late. It was a beautiful drive back with the wild flowers out though they were not as pretty Sunday as they were Friday before the storm came whipping through.
Well this week is pretty busy, well not as much as usual really, I have a couple of appt. this week. I need to figure out a couple of things on my blog, I am trying to RSS feed this to livejournal or LJ to this so i can keep up with everyone. for some reason this is not wanting to work for me so far. I guess I will keep working on it. Well I guess that is all for now as I have typed everyone's ears off. LOL
