Dumb. That's me.
I'm doing some Passover style cooking for Tuesday eve. Not doing a seder or anything..just the food. :-)
So, needing a variety of foodstuffs and not having a ride, I decided to walk to the Cote St. Luc shopping center. It was a lovely day and I didn't even need the raincoat.
the walk there was great and not at all difficult. I went in and did my shopping. Found the dealcoholized wine I like. It is really really good and I bought 3 bottles. :-)
Anyhow... walked through the mall to find the restaurant and, while they have a lot of small places, nowhere that I could sit because TC was packed with two bags of groceries. I noticed a store and walked in. I walked out with one of those cool gel pillows. :-) it's airing out right now.
Anyhow..stopped in at McBarf and got a fish filet which I ate standing outside. Then I made the mistake of walking home. This is where the DUMB comes into play. What I SHOULD have done was grab a cab home with my purchases. Instead, I chose to be an idiot.
I walk on the street because the sidewalks are so uneven that TC is constantly falling over forward and I usually go with him. Well... the roads are just as bad. TC went over twice though not with me as I've learned to let him fall. I stopped him twice and on the second one, one of the bags (containing the bottles, of course) slid off the front. Luckily nothing broke, but I barely made it the rest of the way home. Needless to say, I got NOTHING else done.
So, tomorrow is cooking of brisket and potato kugel. Tuesday is dinner with my youngest, my protegee Adi, her son and, with luck, her spouse. :-) I'll make the hard boiled eggs on Tuesday as well.
Should I not be on before... I wish everyone a wonderful Passover/Easter. :-)
