Glendalough: WIP (now with actual pictures)

Jun 19, 2011 02:06

I've been yammering on about this for awhile, but I've only shown a handful of screenshots. Keep in mind I'm still working on this, so any thoughts or suggestions that spring to mind would be helpful and appreciated. I'm probably going to take a little break from this thing because I don't want to burn out too quickly.

Grocery recolor. It has an adorable wooden sign but you can't really tell from here. Also, I forgot to load that fracking notice board. Doh!

School Recolor

Dress Shop (Salon)

Interior (I've tentatively named this one "Delacour Couture")

The Firehouse. I wont lie, I'm super proud of this one for some reason. I don't know why I didn't take any pictures of the inside!

The Lucky Ridgeback Diner (I love those dragon hedges!)

A custom subway station. I couldn't get these to work for some reason. I'll figure it out another day.

Apartment complex

An interior from the apartment. I wish I could make the build/buy UI GO AWAY.

A little row of little houses.

A little row of bigger houses. I don't know why that top window looks strange.

These are total makeovers of a house from Twinbrook.
I want to say that, with the exception of that long row of suburban looking houses, all of the residential lots with similar or identical exteriors have unique interiors. I figure it's more life-like that way.

Additional Interior

You get lots of pictures of this one for some elusive reason.

Interior

Dining Room

Kitchen

Hobbit-y study

Living Room

Celebrity Bar.
I don't think they'll ever fix the goddamn lighting thing. That fix is on my "List of things EA should have gotten right in the first place". It's very long, as you can imagine.

This reminds me of another list, my "List of things that used to work but EA borkified for no apparent reason".
Seriously, what happened to TAB? Does anyone know? I don't want crazy distorted shots all the time.

There's a VIP section somewhere, as well as a stage for live music. I just neglected to take pictures.

The Consignment Shop!

Weird TAB camera functions makes this shop look larger and more sparse than it is, sadly.

An updated beach. I recolored all the swamp grass so as to make it especially gray and gloomy.

My interpretation of Shell Cottage.

A waterfall that needs fixin'

That's a little bridge right there, but it's hard to to tell from this angle.

The Swamp. Probably one of my favorite parts of the world at this point.

I think the Junkyard needs MOAR JUNK.
That's the movie studio behind it.

Laundromat.

Interior.

I almost don't want to fix this. :D

Nectary

Interior

The beginning of a Library

Another single person starter

NOT a single person starter /obvious

A little park. I've been adding a lot of these.
I don't want this world to require Generations, but I wanted to leave room so people can add content or lots if they wish. That is, if anybody wants this damn thing but me. XD

A Hospital that I dislike. I think I'm either going to change the roof or rebuild altogether.

A botanical garden of sorts.

Gym

I'm happy with how this pool came out...

Also, the bathrooms...

Actually, I'm pretty pleased with it as a whole. That's more than I can say for most gyms.

A police station recolor. I want going to turn that oversized badge into a crest, but now I'm not so sure.

Another Park

Tattoo Parlor

Interior

Yet another park...

Art Gallery. There's a bar on the top floor I forgot to take pictures of.

Interior.
You may have noticed a few paintings that appear to be CC. They're actually just Aikea's painting defaults and will not be included with the world. I only intend to use the rabbit hole rugs and Awesim's gorgeous cornices as far as CC goes.

Lastly, Laura Mars is here to commend you for making it this far.
