holy crap batman.
i just got my final mark for my Health and Safety course.
the top mark was 89.4%
and i got a 89.3%
but what astounds me and blows me away is that i did not really care to study very much for the final exam. i was one of the first to finish writing it and everybody else seemed so much more prepared.
the morning of the exam everyone was frantically cramming and i was running a booth for sheridan's women's day. i was chatting it up with profs about politics, talking about queer issues with clueless students, handing out christmas coloured M&M's, listening to speeches, eating women's day cake and not giving a damn and definatly not studying.
i was talking to one of my classmates about something i read in the news and he was telling me that he didn't want to talk about it because he was 100% focused on the exam. "how do you have time to think about anything else?" he asked me.
and when i talk to other students they totally know more than i do. how the hell do they not do better than me? HOW?? i was totally ok with getting a mid 70's mark, they were my only friends during my undergrad.
my theory is that they are so concerned with doing well that they panic themselves out of marks.
i don't know how else they do it.
i'm not that much smarter than my average classmate.
well lets hope the rest of the exams go this well considering how much effort i'm currently spending.
yesterday i went to the motorcycle show!
it was SHE rides night. women got in for free, and there were women riders who were being interviewed.
i fell in love with one. she's amazing. and gorgeous for 47 years old.
she's sponsered by ducati and does track racing.
i told her i would love to volunteer and to do anything to help her.
she was totally enthusiastic about getting free labour- win-win!
she organizes the motoress.ca website and tries to encourage more women to do motorcycle racing.
i was also interviewd by an ottawa based newspaper about why i love to ride!
soooo cooooool!
i saw my baby in person. the F650GS Dakar. i got to sit on her. *swooooon*
i also saw my second obsession the ducati GT1000, but it wasn't as hot as the pictures lead on, and the seating position isn't as comfortable as it would appear.
i think for my first sports bike i'll start with a ducati 695 monster, its a bit smaller and with its naked frame so so so so extremely hot.
