Mkay. Last night Jiro got together with his old friends from Kapitolyo. And guess what I found out? One of the guys saw Hansel Cruz (yes, the asshole) and asked him why he wasn't at the shop. Guess what the moron told him? "Ah yung shop? Palugi na yung negosyo nung girlfriend ni Jiro eh."
Seriously, I can't wait for karma to catch up with you.
Moving on to more positive things.....
Was able to go out with Jiro today. Had lunch then watched Twilight.
Seriously? I wasn't impressed with how the movie turned out. Let me start by saying FOUNDATION MUCH?! The production probably couldn't hire a really effective makeup artist (quite understandable considering that it's the first movie)..but seriously....those tight shots just emphasize how prop-ish the makeup was. Don't even get me started on that tight shot of Edward Cullen and it was simply obvious that he was wearing contacts! Hahahahaaaaaa!!!
I'm sorry die-hard Twilight groupies. But that was lame. Seriously.
There were some minor loopholes in the plot and unless you've read the book you wouldn't even notice it.
1. Bella and Charlie Swan eat meals at a diner. Check the book kiddies, Bella COOKS meals for Charlie.
2. The Cullen mansion's supposed to be this big white house....but hey the Cullen residence in the movie works for me. Minimalism is the lurve.
3. Bella's computer. Sheesh!!! She wasn't supposed to have a Macbook, people. She was supposed to be the proud owner of a wheezing desktop computer. *evil cackles*
4. The cars. Okay, no complaints about the Cullen's vehicles. But in the school? Kids weren't supposed to give a flying frog about Bella's car because most of the kids own older vehicles too.
5. Bella's first day in school. She was supposed to go really early to the Admissions Office building. AND stuff the map in her bag. Hmm what else... oh YEAH.
6. Bella's superior drama moment in the school parking lot. Come ON! It was supposed to be SNOWING not RAINING. Arrrgh!

On the other hand, I liked how Rosalie and Alice's characters were portrayed. I wish they had been given more screen time instead of putting a lot of emphasis on the Edward-Bella love story angle. But then again, their target market was the shrieking fan girls, so might as well give them their lunch money's worth, huh.
What else....Oh yeah. Gotta give props to Robert Pattinson because he was able to neutralize his British accent.
We were actually lucky that there were no screaming fan girls in the theater. There were the squealing fan girls though, but it's tolerable.

After the movie we just had the usual Bubble Milk Tea stuff....then browsed for some books at Book Sale.
What sucks is that some people try to sound soooo superior and could not resist talking ALOUD in public about their opinions. Which I would not mind at all, IF most of them were trying soooo damn hard to adopt a "sosy" accent. Please. Are we supposed to be impressed just because you can speak in "English"? Pathetic much.
