What anyone does with the people responsible for the creature's attack is hereafter up to the individuals. I am leading nothing. I am instead formulating another plan, though this is far less destructive. I am afraid I will have little need for the services of those who agreed to the initial plan ( Read more... )

I'm really glad you decided to change your mind, Freudia.

What were you thinking of doing now?

Research, mostly focused on the crabs. Specific plans are still tentative at this point.

That sounds a whole lot better. It'd be really great if we could find out a weakness for them...or maybe some way to prevent them from biting people.

The biting seems instinctive; I doubt there is anything that could be done to prevent it directly. Though neither am I an armorer. That is a possibility.

Armor? Huh, I never thought of that...I wonder if there's anything here the crabs can't bite through.

Considering the only means to test this would involve getting bitten, I am not very eager to find out quite yet.

No kidding. If that has to be tested, it'd definitely have to be with something not on a person.

Unfortunately, blacksmiths do not seem readily available. We will have to make do with what we do have. There are scientists here, correct? They may be able to provide a more detailed analysis of the parasites.

I think so. I wouldn't know anything about that, but if there was anyone who would know what to look for, I hope they're willing to help.

If they are as passionate as the Lady, a simple mention of potential experiments would send them springing into action. Unfortunately, it is not that simple quite yet.

Guess not. Still, it's a step in the right direction.

It's all right. I think I got pretty angry, too...this week's just been really rough on me. I guess it was for everyone, really.

Understandably. But I was able to speak with a colleague and he proposed this, so I suppose we can begin to bring things back to whatever is passably normal here.

I hope you are well.

I'm glad! That's the best thing we can do right now.

I'm...getting better! Aerith's insisting that I stay in bed right now. Can't wait to get up and actually get out looking again just sitting around's boring!

Aerith? A new arrival, I suppose. I have been rather secluded lately, for obvious reasons. I know for a fact you are not the only healer in the city. Perhaps Aerith has a point.
