I go in 10 days to join the league of those with no child-bearing parts, and I can't wait!!! I'm getting hyped, this may be wrong of me, but at the moment it's almost like a field trip! I am somewhat worried about going under general anesthesia, can't stand being "out of it". I'm also kinda worried about what my (newly turned) 2 year old will do without his mom at night. I've always practiced attachment parenting, wearing my children, and extended breastfeeding, so while this may be a good time to wean, what's he gonna think about not seeing me for possibly 3 days? Hopefully they let him in by the 2nd day, but I won't hold my breath. There's good reasons small children aren't allowed in hospitals. As a nurse myself I know that but I'll miss my baby! The other 2 will go in just fine, the 16 year old may spend the night there, and the 11.5 year old wants to stay a night too! What helpful sweet souls they are. My sweet man would like to, but I want him with Jason since I can't be there. I'm also looking to time off work with greed, I soooooo wish Harry Potter was coming out in the next month or so!!! By the time it comes out, I'll be back at work. I'm such a geek I've already got a bag semi-packed, with a few toiletries, chapstick, a comfy nightgown, slippers, a good book ("Wicked") and a (pooh) pillow to hug to my belly. Sorry if i've neglected anyones' journals lately, the demands of parenthood/work/school have been heavy and my mac is only at a 9.2 OS which is incompatible with most of LJ!! I soo need $$ to get a new ibook, my husband has a good one, but is doing his ebay business on it most of the time...what sucks even more is that I got bumped to a new tax bracket this year, and can no longer claim my earned income credit, slashing my refund to a measley 1800, EEEKKKKK damn government!! If only our founding fathers knew how much we were being taxed right now, they would be rolling in their graves....
I'll try to post again b4 surgery, it's on the 21st, so send dark chocolate, oh never mind, that would be bad for the lipo/tummy tuck my doc is including! Love to all.....................
