What a weekend!!!!

Friday: Went to the library after work and got a library card and two books! I'm trying to be more responsible with money so I figured I could save a fortune if I borrowed books instead of buying them. Friday night Dougie and I hung out at his parent's house for the football game. I read most of the time, but I guess they won :-)

Saturday: Spent the day with Steve and Yellie. We went on a picnic (my first) and then a tour of the Budweiser plant in Merrimack, Nh. I had been on it before so it was a little boring until the drinking part. But we had fun and learned a lot. Then we headed back to the STB Athanas' apartment and I chatted with Yellie while the boys played Battlefield. We left at 5 because we had to pick up Lindsay and Travis from the airport and that was interesting. WE didn't know what terminal they were in so we asked some random Logan worker and he said terminal E because it was an international flight. We get there (its now 6:15 and their plane is scheduled to land at 6) and there is no flight from Aruba on North American Airline. So after flipping out for a good 5-10 minutes, we find an information desk and ask them if they heard of North American airlines. We find out they are part of Delta and we should be at terminal A (which, by the way, we were heading to in the first place). By now its 6:30 and I can't get in touch with either Travis or Lindsay. So Dougie and I haul ass to terminal A and find the flight which is now delayed until 6:35. Talk about perfect timing! We brought them home, but first stopping at TGIFriday'sb in Manchester because they didn't get any food on the flight and by this time its after 8 so we figured why not. We got home at 9:45 and just watched tv/read in bed.

Sunday: Dougie dragged my ass out of bed to go to church (I was so tired) and I'm glad he did. As some of you know, I've been confused spiritually and have been attending different denominations but really enjoyed the catholic church. Well lately I've been feeling really stressed about it and my fear was if I decided to become Catholic I would 1). fail at it because there is so much to remember and so many things that are considered bad 2). how would this affect future generations (kids). WEll, I'm sitting in church, thinking this and feeling really low. I'm also thinking, I miss my Protestant hymns. I never hear my favorite ones. So the end of Mass arrives and I always wait for the Choir to finish (I think its rude not to) and as I'm walking out to light a candle for myself and leave, my favorite hymn (the one that reminds me of papa) comes on. I light my candle and run back to the front pew and I kneel in front of the tabunacle (spelling) and just feel like its a huge sign.

Then Dougie and I went out to breakfast (we've been so good with spending) at Nick's. We ate so much and spent only $16.00. I thought that was a good deal. We then went to my house and visited my mom until 4:30 and then went to The Seed's for dinner and a movie.

Today I wanted to mention something the Lowell Wish Project ( I mentioned them a few lj's ago) is doing for the fall. As a school loving fool, I thought this would be a cool thing to do.

P.S. Danielle brought this to my attention. There are a lot of back to school specials going on, especially at Staples and Walmart. If people were interested in helping but are tight on money, feel free to take advantage of those sales. Heck, Yellie and I are thinking of going halfies on a backpack filled with supplies because we are on a budget.
