I am now a Monitor Teaching Assistant (MTA) at West Junior High School in Brockton. I will be working in a behavior inclusion classroom, with children that have severe behavior issues and disorders. To the point, where I have to take restraint training.
I know that doesn't seem glamorous, but I think it will be good experience working with kids that the system has somewhat abandoned.
If anything I get more money and...wait for it... Health Insurance!!!!!!!
I even got a nice spiffy ID, which I have never had in Brockton yet.
In other news, I am planning on applying to Grad School at UML, should be starting this sumnmer with a few courses. Already set out a list of things to do with advisor to make this happen.
