Vote on Tuesday! Every vote counts!

This Tuesday is the Primary Election in Massachusetts, and I encourage every one of you to vote.

I am supporting Deval Patrick in his run for Govenor of Massachusetts, and I hope you can stop by his website, www.devalpatrick.com, and read a bit of what he has to say, and learn about his vision for the this great commonwealth. I believe him to be the right man for Massachusetts, and I have never been this excited about a campaign.

His education plan calls for all-day kindergarten, educating the "whole" child, more after-school programs, and more funding for enrichment programs like the arts and music.

He does not support  the income tax break like the other two democartic canidates, and the Lt. Govenor, becuase it is just a quick fix, but in the long run it will hurt our commonwealth more.

He supports Cape Winds, and fully wants to help Massachusetts steer its enviromental efforts  to cleaner, safer energy sources.

He is a masterful communicator and skilled arbitrator which is why President Clinton appointed him Assitant Attorney's General for Civil Rights, during his second term.

He has been endorsed by most of Massachusett's Congressional delegation, including Barney Frank, John Tierny, and James McGovern. Also, by United States Senator Barack Obama (D-IL.), a rising star of the Democratic Party,  the Boston Teacher's Union, The Massachusetts Society of Professors, The American Federation of Teachers, The Massachusetts Gay and Lesbian Caucus, The Boston Globe,  Rep. Thomas Kennedy of Brockton,  and countless citizens of Masschusetts who have made his grass-roots campaign so successful.

Deval Patrick  will be a great govenor and a great change of pace in the Sate House. He will help bring the message of Massachusetts center stage in this country. He will make Massachusetts the beacon of liberty like it once was when a group of lawyers, farmers, and ferriers banded together and died for their beliefs three centuries ago in Concord and Lexington, and ignited the spark of freedom that went racing across this land.

Whatever you believe, and whatever you think about Massachusetts politics, just please remember to vote. It's one of the most important civic obligations, and the greatest instrument of societal change.
