I think I lucked out finding this stone... since I had the ring shipped from NY to CA, I didn't have to pay tax. I did have to pay for shipping and insurance, which was $95.
Generally brilliance, fire, and sparkle (which is determined on the amount of light retained by a diamond) can be totally effected by the cut of the diamond... and the cut of the diamond thus effects the table size and depth %. I forgot the exact range of the %'s but I know the one I bought fit within those ranges. But rule of thumb, if you go with an ideal cut, chances are you are gonna find a diamond that has good table/depth % proportions.
However... I view the Solasfera cut as being ideal to perfect. There is no light leakage.

The other contractor (packager) in the Q/A lab left. Mike (mac guy) is still contracting. they hired a new contractor that sits in the lab... and hired a perm packager a while back.
