To make a long story short…
Basically Christina knew that the proposal was coming. We had been seriously talking marriage for several months. Her parents already expected it. She knew I was already shopping for a diamond. 3) I knew what she liked or wanted... like the minimums requirements. she sorta knew a range that it would cost... but since I did the research, she didn't really know realistically what was manageable.
4) Hmmm.... I'm trying to think back if I wrote anything that would not make you believe she was Korean. :-P
5) Well we were there not last weekend, but the weekend before. And I did it to the back side of the fountain where there was less traffic. Neither of us wanted a big scene.
Like I said in the post, we met 3 years ago.
As for guys paying for the ring? That depends on the guy and what he has saved up. Some will finance it if they don't have the cash to pay it off. Others will charge it...some will pay cash. I could have paid cash, but ended up charging it to get the miles/points on my card. I actually split the payment on 2 separate credit cards.
Keep i mind that the "rule of thumb" is 2 months salary... although some say 2-3 now. but this figure was also set by the diamond industry, just so they can get us to spend more money. :-P

i agree that the 2-3 months salary "rule of thumb" was generated by the diamond people... hahaha but whatever it is, a girl can't complain =)
will you have to consult the big red book and see if the tentative date that you and C have picked out are okay by Chinese astrological standards?
