given the pace at which i've been (not) knitting, it looks like only some/none people will be getting knits this holiday. this could be both a good and bad thing. good because people do not have to receive knitted things from me. bad because i'm not in the mood to buy anything but craft supplies.
i did, last year, promise my mum a hat. she wanted something newsboy-ish... in that it would be a fitted hat with a visor. i asked if she would also like it to have ear flaps to keep her ears warm, because i know she likes hats that cover her ears and go down as close to the nape of her neck as possible. so i envisioned some sort of hunting hat type thing, but more feminine. probably in a chunky yarn, and possibly felted or lined for extra wind resistance.
...since i haven't actually been knitting, i decided to surf around a little bit and see which other knitters' lives i could covet. ...and i stumbled upon this!
adorable! and complete with ear flaps! all i need to make is a red tongue visor! i wish she was at an age where wearing a frog on your head is cool.
