knitting

so i finished my summer knitting last month. i finished the rusted root, made a razor cami with the remaining skein, and made a top-down raglan with a dayflower lace panel and picot edging that i really like. i'm thinking about frogging the cami and using the yarn to add some length to the rusted root and then maybe make a headband with the scrap yarn. pictures and details as soon as i unpack the box where i packed my camera.

i'm starting to think about fall and holiday knits. i've unravelled a horrible failed FO that was made of paton's divine... i was new to knitting, the yarn was incredibly cheap, and i didn't know that novelty yarns aren't for things where you care about uniformity in your stitches. i'm reknitting in garter stitch on oversized needles (divine knits up on size 10s, i'm using 13s) to make a pretty nice scarf gift, if i do say so myself.

potential fall knits:
circular shrug
a quick knit that can be done with any cheap yarn.

cutesy cardigan
a cute knit, but i usually don't like things with such a deep cut. hmm..

highly breakable looking cardigan
pretty, but i already have a lace cardigan and i might poke my eyes out before finishing.

three hours?
like hell. this would be my first knit-in-pieces garment. it had to happen some day.

warmth sans sleeves!

a top-down raglan
yes.

a split neck raglan with button closures
maybe.

a top-down wrap sweater
maybe. either tie-to-the-side, or button closure, i think.

maybe this, with more shaping
this looks so roomy, but maybe knit for a closer fit it would be more my style? i'm always sort of if-fy about turtlenecks, but i might be able to swing the optional neck. ...i don't know. haven't convinced myself yet.
