FemslashEx Dear Author Letter

Hey there Femslash Ex writer! I’m sorry if this is getting out a little past prime…I’m ashamed to say that though I’m a veteran fic reader and writer, I have not participated in exchanges or fests much, so I’m a little slow.

Some general things-when it comes to femslash, I love it all. Angst, fluff, domestic, dark, smut, anything. I, like anyone, have preferences and things I don’t care much for (which I’ll outline soon), but I’m extremely open about my femslash. I love seeing my fellow femslash writers follow their muse and write what they love to write.

That being said, here are a few things I adore, not fandom specific: Alternate universes of all kinds (noir, college, musician, historical, etc.), long courtships, chaste romances, bonding rituals, age differences (no underage, though), and dom/sub to all elements (emotional, lifestyle, scene, etc.).

Here are a few things I don’t normally gravitate to (but the only hard limits I have in fics are vomit and watersports): Bodyswap, prostitution, prison AU, non-con, slavery themes, choking or breathplay, and sensory deprivation. I’m also not a fan of incest, but I believe it can be done well. In the end, both these and my preferences are just guidelines.

Now, some prompt-specific things. I added a few notes on AO3 for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Disney Princesses, nothing too specific. I left Hannibal, Teen Wolf, and MCU totally open because due to the themes of the media, I’m interested in all interpretations of those pairings and will read whatever (except for my two hard limits).

I do have to make a clarification for Once Upon a Time, though. I will say this in bold-any and all pairings are welcome. I love this fandom and every female character. However, in my notes I did say I prefer no incest, which isn't quite fair because I know it leaves out some popular ships. This is not a hard limit for me at all-the thing is, I’ve been cautious about it in the past, but I do believe that especially in this fandom it can work. That’s why I didn’t leave any pairings out. That being said, I have no pairing-specific prompts or suggestions, I just want to read what you love to write.

Thanks so much, I can't wait to read and write!
