Without indulging in substances. What a great story! I'm looking forward to cutting Bush from his elected post. I hope Kerry would open the Energy hearings if he's elected.

I'm reading an on-line book about the school system in america, and how it changed in the 20th century. Literacy has decreased in real terms over the past hundred years, despite spending more real cost per pupils. And the Baseball, Football, Basketball- what a great diversion.

Told from the perspective of a teacher working in NYC metro schools for 30 years. He tells the story about how some of his animosity and desire for writing the book came about: 5 years before he quit, he had medical leave for a broken hip. When he came back, he had been released because the files about his leave had been destroyed. He fought to retain his job, and went on 2 years later to be awarded best teacher in NYC, and a year after that to be awarded best teacher in NY State. And then he quit.
