(no subject)
so apparently staying home from work to complete my final paper means that i procrastinate and work on pride stuff all morning. I need to get this paper done, and now here I am on LJ wasting time as well.
Pride is looking good. We will hopefully have the web page up to date in a week, we have our advertising under way. Sponsorship is seriously behind but I think that I am making some headway! Our grant at SCES is going to jury soon although I am not confident in it. the SCES Ed called me for clarification on a few things and I don't think that she was impressed at all! Wait until she looks at the 2008 application. The 2007 was a huge improvement over that one (i know, the years seem backward but don't ask, they aren't).
At any rate we have some great locations, venues, artists, performers, advertisers, sponsors, events, and board members.
Speaking of board members, we are still actively looking for people to join the best hands on active, engaging, and exciting board in the world - the SDN board. It is great work that is really fulfilling and you get the tangible results of having a festival to show for it. If you or anyone you know is interested contact me: nich@saskatoonpride.ca. Spread the word, we need the people.
