Catch Up
Hi all - I just want you all to know that I do keep up on you all through LJ. Here is what is new with me.....
If I can manage to get it together I will graduate with my double honours in Political Studies and Human Geography this year! I will say that this term, my last is the most difficult to keep focused on ever. I currently have to catch up on 2 labs for one class, and 5 labs for another. I have a 10 page paper due on Wednesday that I haven't started. I have 100 pages of reading due tomorrow afternoon - also not started. I also have another paper due at the end of the term, but really don't have to worry about that one for another couple of weeks. I present in a seminar class in 2 weeks - I have actually begun that work - although I do hate group assignments. And then it is Finals. Yay. I need to do relatively well in my classes so that I can keep my average up, but I don't think that will be too hard.
And for Pride - I have a grant application due April 1 that I really need to start on. I am also doing the community fair, parade, advertising, sponsorship, and chairing - crazy. I also think that we will be adding a walking pubcrawl this year - downtown to all the good lounges. I am rather excited.
I also am working on the line-up of performers for the community fair. I think that we will have some amazing musicians coming out this year.
In other good news - we have two new options for the community fair and parade launch location. We are working on getting city hall plaza - which would be cool - it is a great central location - we would take over the farmers market area. Or - there is the possibility that the Riversdale Business Improvement District would like to support us - so it may move to that neck of the woods. Thanks to Cindy Baker for that lead.
All I know is that I really need to get my proud but in gear. I have a lot of work cut out for me....and don't get me started on Work. I love my job, but I have had to reduce my hours to Fridays only until I get things caught up.
If you see me in a computer lab, stop and say hi. You may need to talk me down from killing the PC computers in the labs - wow pc sucks and I love my Mac.
