Bought more books today. They're like african babies, I swear. One especially precious one is a yellowing old (1926, New York) collection of famous trials throughout history. Whenever I get within a five-foot radius it speaks to me - 'Hold meeeee, touch meeeeee, talk about me on your bloooooog!Even though no one reads this thing, I'm going to ( Read more... )

I've half answered these questions, but it's much too long for a comment. I hope you don't mind, but I've written rather a lot... I tend to do that. ^^

Do I know you? I want to ask how you found me, but then I also want there to be the quiet internet is a random being connection thing. So maybe don't tell me.

I'm Catherine, by the way. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Here are my answers.

Hi, I'm Amanda. If you don't want to know where I found you, don't highlight the following.

I don't remember which of them it was, but I found you through either tappuri/ladyjaida or lessien or someone in that circle. Dorkorific, maybe. But you left a comment somewhere and I randomly added you because I liked your username. :)

Nice to meet you. And thanks again for answering my ridiculous writing questions. :)

Yeah, Shoebox. Epitome of enviable marauder fanfiction.

I could, I guess. Probably cheap of me not to, I suppose. So I will.

1. If you write, is it difficult for you? There are aspects that are wildly difficult, but internally so.
2. Do you practice? It's hard to practice something like that. It's not like learning a language, although that's essentially what you have to do to improve. There aren't any flashcards. Kind of wish there were, though. :/
3. Do you believe you have a natural talent? People have told me so, but I don't know. There's a difference between natural talent and natural talent.
4. Where does inspiration come from? Cookie factory in the brain. Lazy part-time workers.
5. When do you like to write the most? When I'm enjoying it.
6. Do you have problems with procrastination? Oh, god yes. Definitely.
7. Do you tend to plan what you write before you start or just go head first? (If you do go head first, what influences those first few sentences the most - your surroundings, things you've read by others or crazy streams of thoughts and ideas?) You know, when I was typing out these questions I was thinking 'thank god I don't have to answer these ( ... )

Exactly. Exactly exactly exactly...

You are concise. That is satisfying.
