PRe- coffee update.

I had one of the most frustrating days yesterday..... more on that later.

But I think I have found a car- seriously this time.

After much discussion- it was determined that I should buy something new or certified in order to have a warranty to be on the safe side- and to insure that it had lower miles, thusly being american, versus all the foreign babies that I've been lusting for. So with buying a new car- it meant that I was looking at Nissan Versas, Sentras, Toyota Yaris, Camry, Matrix, and Ford Focuses (Focuii?) just cars that generally DONT turn me on. I'm not going to lie- I like Audi/Saab/Volvo/Nissan.

This next vehicle purchase needs to be a 5-7 year car. I test drove a chevy Malibu Maxx yesterday, and surprisingly liked it. It's the Malibu's answer to a wagon. It was comfortable- has good storage space- some of the bells and whistles I'm looking for.

Luckily Allie's husband and a friend of ours works for Bill Dodge, so I know they will take of me. Brian (the sale person friend) was concerned that the Subaru dealership was going to try to rip me off in my trade.
the problem with the Maxx I drove yesterday was it was a 2005- and had 44k mileage. However! I found one at the Bill Dodge in Brunswick so Dad is going to go take a look at it there.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Kia Optima that I test drove yesterday as well- and it was red :-) It was another GM certified vehicle, which means getting the balance of the 100,000m/10yr powertrain warrenty, and a 3 yr/36,000mi bumper to bumper warrenty.

Which can come in very very handy.

I will say I test drove a Mazada 3 as well yesterday- and if my price range was a little bit higher- one of those bad boys would be coming home.

Oh the way it took corners- it was like driving a sports car.
I was thankful for having taken a guy friend with me to the Mazada dealership- I always feel like they're going to try to take me for a ride whenever I go in alone- it was just funny to see the salesman trying to figure out if I was the friend's wife, or his girlfriend or the mistress.

I think he finally got that I was JUST a friend after I mentioned that I -just- had a dog.

Any how.
Time to refill my coffee cup and get dressed for work.
