Well, it has been a really long time since I have written last. I don't know why I have decided to update this today, but I have. My life in Georgia has been very fast paced. Today I realized that when I go home for Thanksgiving it will have been a total of five months that I have lived out of Ohio! That's crazy! I didn't realize it has been that long. I have been so busy making a life here, that the past kinda sneaks up on you. Therefore, I am going to loose weight, not that I am huge now, but I want to look really good when I go back to Ohio. It has been almost half a year since I left! It really has gone by fast. Then I look back on what I have acomplished in that time. I have successfully begun a career in elementary music K-5, I am working at a college (horn professor!), I am playing in a great band in Atlanta called Tara Winds, I am teaching lessons in Pickens County and in my own school, I am busy every night of the week, I have met lots of nice friends, I don't need to sit around the house by myself if I don't want to. I am doing pretty good. I was talking to my friend, Momma Julie, and I realized how different I am here. My self confidense level has really gone up. I have different guys to chose from, if I so desire, and I am okay with who and am and how I look. I don't know if I have ever been this way in my life. I somehow, in these crazy transitions that I have had lately, made myself my security, something I have been missing my whole life. That's pretty cool. My dad was surprised last night that I ventured down to Atlanta to go to a band show by myself. I didn't even think twice about going. I guess that's how much I have changed. So, when I lose the weight and look great coming back to Ohio, it's not because I think that I need to impress everyone, it's because I want to. I am impressive enough. I know this entire journal sounds conceded, but that's okay. I am proud of myself and my life. I am working hard to make my career what I want it to be, and I know that it will be exactly what I want in a couple of years. I have met so many key people in Georgia, that people I don't even know, know me. That's progress. Yea, I've done good. If I can do this for myself, anyone can and should. If you can make yourself feel good, just think about how you can make other people feel. I should know. I used to be the worst critic on myself. So, general moral statement, take care of yourself and you will end up taking care of everyone you care about!
