Well, it has been a long time since I've done anything but comments. So here's my life...I'm on vacation from absolutely everything - even shopping which I finally finished today! I'm so proud. :) I did go into my internship on Wed :( becaues I said I would and had some stuff hanging over my head. But I got it done and now everything else can wait till I get back. I sometimes wonder what it is about me that says "preppy trendy person" because yet again I got gift cards from the parents at work to places I generally do not or even try not to frequent. Mostly starbucks this time, I'm actually kind of surprised there were no Gap gift cards in the bunch - the first time in years. The Gap is ok, but honestly I never shopped there until I had a gift card, and that is still my main reason for going into the store. It always amuses me to see what people think I would like. At least my secret santa (Mary - my director) knows me well - she gave me a card to Changing Hands bookstore, the new/used bookstore with other generally cool stuff (I actually spent quite a bit of money there for the holiday this year). I got some very cool non-xmas cards that are very specifically new years cards. sorry britt - I'll do the celebration part but it seems silly for me to send out cards celebrating something that isn't really part of my life. That's where New Years comes in - I am a true believer in starting over.
Oddly enough, I got a card the other night that actually lets me go back - from Crystal vb(the ex's aunt). I feel so silly because I started crying when I opened it. I had thought that they didn't want to see me or talk to me, but then Crystal had kept my address this whole year, and put her email address saying she wanted to keep in touch. I was so mad last year because all of the bruhaha meant I might not be able to see them again, and I really care about that whole family so it was mostly crying from relief and shock.
Final note: the geese are back in the lake outside my apartment complex. It's funny to be in the place the birds fly TO for the winter. :)
