My arms hurt
Hi new meme friends! I am a rather boring person so I hope you won't dozed off reading my LJ.
And now for less interesting RL news: I rushed off today to an IT fair to get myself an early birthday present. Since my old camera broke down, I decided to invest in a new one that I can use on my birthday holiday trip. So I bought an Olympus E-520 DSLR camera. It costs SGD1198 (around USD830). Weee. I am going to be broke soon. Well, for that price, I was given some nice freebies. Two 8GB CF card, tripod, additional battery, cleaning kit, case, UV filter, AND a dry box. It was the bloody dry box that gave me problems later.
I paid for camera thinking I can collect it immediately when the staff at the collection counter told me they don't have stock and I need to go to their main store. @$%&! Since the store was just two train stations away and within walkable distance, I went there immediately. The staff there attended to me promptly and I had all my items BUT! the dry box was not a dry box. It was a fucking electronic dry cabinet that I could barely carry. The latter was more expensive (and fuss-free) but holy shit how am I suppose to lug this thing home? I ended up calling a cab. Because damnit, I'm not going to sit the train with the cabinet thank you very much.
That aside, I'm excited at my new camera and I'm trying to set up the dry cabinet (stupid dumb thing) while waiting the battery to be charged.
