I was considering replying to a reply of a review that I did for a fanfiction.
She (I assume it's a she) wrote an excellent reply, appropriately insulting without overdoing it. I only recently check my email for my fanfiction account and was quite pleased when I read it. It proved that I was right to leave my review.
She seemed to have issue with my overly negative comments; I have a tendency to write about the bad parts of a story without telling the author what I liked about it. Guessed she wasn't happy about it.
Regardless, I still stand by my comments about her fanfiction and took offence where she says that people like me caused budding writers to stop writing. I am of the opinion that if you posted it on the net, you have to accept what people say about it. People who praised a piece of fiction mindlessly when it's not, are just egging the author on to write more rubbish. Of course, my way (i.e. harsh with no positive comments) of writing reviews probably pissed off many people. I do admit that it is not what I call a good review.
So why am I writing this huge chunk of text here instead of telling her face to face? Because fanfiction.net has a rule where by you can only write a review for a chapter (it's a oneshot) once and she doesn't allow anon reviews. :/ I don't feel like revealing my email (all linked to my RL identity) and creating a new email just to reply her is so silly.
And well, I am sick right now and just want to distract myself from the pain.
