I am trying to get ahold of the theme from Francois Truffaut's Les 400 Coups.  The only place I have been able to find it is on amazon.com as an expensive compilation of soundtrack snippets from the Adventures of Antoine Doinel series.  Ive also searched by the composer, Jean Constantin, and come up empty handed.  So, if any of you out

there's a particular company in France (i'm not at home so can't check the name yet) that put out soundtracks, often two on one. For example the Pierrot Le Fou soundtrack has been put together with the Weekend soundtrack, and the Le Mepris soundtrack with another by the same composer. The soundtrack is available because funnily I heard the theme only the other day streaming France Info radio. I suggest you go to www.fnac.fr and search there. These soundtracks are readily available from French fnac and virgin stores. If you have a friend in France maybe they could buy you a copy? It shouldn't be difficult at all. Otherwise, yeah, give fnac a go. Hope that helped! Or try ebay maybe also, but the soundtracks dont seem to come up too often I've found. And maybe also for downloading on soulseek?

thank you! i had looked on limewire, but had never heard of soulseek before, so i downloaded that, and then there it was! the theme was reused in bertoluccis film 'the dreamers' and so i was able to find it through that soundtrack. didnt realize it would be so difficult to find. thanks for the advice!

I too am looking for the soundtrack to Truffaut's 400 Blows and also Stolen Kisses. Were you sucessful in finding it?

i was able to get the main theme from the 400 blows, as well as the title song from stolen kisses, if you reply with your email i can send them to you if you are interested.
