Sup?
Yeah I hear you, talk about the holidays am I right?
So this year as always I have worn my Santa hat every day of December even after Christmas was over because seriously why forget about the holidays completely the second they are over? Also I celebrated Hanukkah because I like candles and feel that while not the most important Jewish holiday, it's still pretty heartwarming even if your doing it by yourself. Incidentally on Christmas eve, I was at a Dollar General and while paying for my purchases I wished the 60ish cashier woman a "Happy third day of Hanukkah" and she cringed from me suspiciously and said "Uhnnnnn is that what it isssss?" I'm not exaggerating, she kinda hissed at me like I had disturbed her clutch eggs with a stick. A Jewish stick. I was under the impression that while a minority, the Jews were not poisonous or threatening to anybody, especially towards oldish women in suburbia. Thus my confusion. I actually had a number of amusing responses to my Hanukkah well wishing including one guy who laughed hysterically on being told of the fifth day, though I later determined him to be ridiculously blazed.
I didn't get any presents for Hanukkah (my mom is concerned about how Jesus feels about my practices), but on Christmas I got some nice clothes from my dad, including a rainbow patterned wife-beater undershirt which I love, but was also puzzled by. I found out that my sister picked it out for me which is understandable, but slightly disheartening as I had a brief moment of "wow I guess my dad really is okay with my sexuality," only to be dashed upon the realization that he is really only tolerant because I never mention it to him in his presence. Also I'm still his only child to succeed in anything and look a lot like him.
Turning my frown upside-down, my mom gave me a bunch of the softest socks that ever existed. My mom also got me a "Learn Japanese on your computer" thing. It's kinda fun times even though it seems made for third graders, and if anything it has a dictionary of words in like eight other languages tacked on the end for no apparent reason. Which reminds me I need to get patrick to help me get my computer to type Japans cause it will be both fun times and convenient.
So far I have been having fun times hanging out with some friends of mine around town, and also sleeping. I have developed a sleep problem actually. I seem to sleep much longer than I initially intend to and ultimately the only one I can truly blame is my cat Sophie. She likes to come into my room as I am thinking "I shall get up now" and then lay on top of me purring. After approximately thirty seconds I am unconscious and wake up like an hour later with her still lying on me and still purring. This sometimes occurs several times in a row and I am powerless for some unknown reason. I'm going to go to bed soon and shut my door so she can't get in, though that has never stopped her before. I never had this problem at college. Though I only slept a couple hours a night at college so I'm not sure which problem is worse. I'm gonna go now before my mom and step-dad wake up and discover me. See you in later days.
Beware my cat!
